The Street League comes back to Spain

A couple of minutes ago, during the Tampa Pro contest, they officially announced the dates and venues of the Street League Nike SB World Tour 2015, and the biggest surprise this year is that the SLS goes out of the United States again. It’s going to be just once, but the place they specify on the document they published on www.streetleague.com points out that the contest is going to take place in the city of Badalona (Barcelona), at Skate Agora BDN’s park.

This information figures out all the questions related to the project California Skateparks is developing in that Catalan city, because there’s not any skatepark with that name in Badalona, and the only one under construction is the one we just mentioned. Moreover, after they posted the calendar, a new Facebook page called Skate Agora BDN published «You’re all welcome to Barcelona». In this same page, they affirm this place is located right in the same place as that new construction (Carretera de Mataró 2-20, Badalona).

But one of the curious things about this contest is that the one that is taking place in Spain is going to be the Pro Open, the qualifiers for the league. The stablished date is May 16th, another fact that matches with the opening of that new skatepark.

Therefore, now that we know the SLS is coming to Badalona, all eyes are on the design of the course, how is it going to be and what’s going to happen after the event, but everything points in the direction that the park is going to stay there and open to the public, not like with the one they built in Barcelona for the X-Games.
