Nyjah aparece con ropa Nike de manera oficial en el campamento de Element. Confirmado el chico se marcha de DC a Nike SB.
Oímos este rumor por primera vez antes de verano, y este no ha hecho más que crecer y crecer con el paso del tiempo. ¿Nyjah Huston deja DC Shoes y se va a Nike SB? Suena demasiado grande para ser real, pero hay muchos detalles que apuntan a que sí, que el devorador de Street Leagues podría sumarse al lado de las otras bestias: Luan Oliveira, Shane O’Neill y compañía.
No aparece en la lista de nombres del próximo vídeo de DC Shoes, el De La Calle, no se ha oído hablar de un nuevo modelo de sus zapatillas, a Nike SB le iría genial que Nyjah fichara por ellos para monopolizar la Street League (o las posibles olimpiadas) e incluso nos han confirmado que varias personas que han estado en su casa le han visto con varios pares de zapatillas Nike SB. Pero por si fuera poco, en la revista de octubre de Thrasher han dejado caer en las últimas páginas que el mejor skater en competiciones ficha por la marca de zapatillas más grande del mercado, y añaden «Venga ya, chicos. Esta la sabéis».
Además, DC Shoes ha eliminado el nombre de Nyjah en la lista de riders y Asphalt Yatch Club ha hecho lo mismo. El skater ha hecho prácticamente lo mismo y ha ha quitado de su biografía de Instagram tanto a DC Shoes como a AYC, por lo que todo apunta a que no sólo se iría para Nike SB de zapatillas sino también para su sección de ropa.
Se ha discutido mucho la cifra exacta que cobraría el californiano en Nike SB, pero algunos entendidos aseguran que podría llegar a tratarse de 15 millones de dólares por un contrato de 5 años (o incluso más), como si se tratara de un futbolista. Tampoco hay ninguna cifra oficial porque ninguna fuente oficial ha confirmado el posible fichaje, pero todo el mundo sabe que los contratos de Nike SB son más que generosos, y Nyjah Huston sabe que tiene que aprovechar estas grandes oportunidades si quiere seguir con sus coches, su mansión y sus fiestas.
En cuanto a la fecha oficial del posible anuncio, como ya hemos apuntado en varias ocasiones, se desconoce por completo. Se habla de que el contrato con DC expira en noviembre, y tanto el vídeo de DC como el de Nike SB, el esperado Chronicles 3 (con Lance Mountain, Eric Koston y demás), salen en diciembre, así que todo es cuestión de esperar y ver dónde aparece Nyjah, si con Koston y compañía, o Felipe Gustavo y demás.
Desde ayer mismo hay un vídeo en las redes de Drewsdays, un skater de San Diego, en el que llama a Grant Fiero, quien sabe más sobre el tema de Nyjah Huston, y aquí ambos discuten los tópicos que explicamos en este post.
Parece que todo está muy claro y que todo está dicho, pero todavía hay que esperar a la fecha del anuncio, que será probablemente muy pronto.

We heard about this rumor before summer, and it’s just been growing and growing. Nyjah Huston leaving DC Shoes and signing with Nike SB? It sounded too big to be real, but there are many details that make us think that the Street League killer could actually make that step and be part of «the other side», right with Luan Oliveira, Shane O’Neill and company.
His name doesn’t show up at the roster of DC’s next video (De La Calle), there are no news from a possible new DC model from him, Nike SB would love to have Nyjah monopolizing the Street League (or the possible Olympics) and some people who have recently been at Nyjah’s house claimed to elpatín.com they saw many Nike Sb’s at his place. But even if it’s not enough, Thrasher Magazine posted on their October Issue that the best contest skater was going to the biggest shoe company, and they added: «C’mon, you guys know this one».
Moreover, DC Shoes has recently deleted Nyjah’s name from their website, and Asphalt Yatch Club did the same too. The skater did practically the same, and he’s eliminated DC Shoes and AYC from his Instagram bio. Therefore, we can see it’s not only about shoes, so this could mean he could also go to Nike SB Apparel, not only shoes.
The exact amount of money he would make if he signed with Nike SB is unknown yet, but many people are talking about 15 million dollars for a 5 years contract (or even more), just as we were talking about soccer or football players. There’s not an official number cause it’s not confirmed yet, but everybody knows Nike Sb’s contracts are beyond generous, and Nyjah knows he has to take profit of the opportunities he has now if he wants to keep partying like a savage and driving nice cars.
Regarding the official announcement, as we said many times, there’s nothing official. Some sources told us Nyjah’s contract expires in November, and both videos from DC Shoes and Nike SB (the anticipated Chronicles 3 with Lance Mountain, Eric Koston and so on) are dropping in December, so we only have to wait and see if Nyjah is skating with Felipe Gustavo and the South American squad, or with Lance Mountain and company.

It looks like everything’s said so far, but we still have to wait for an announcement date, which will proabably be soon.
