Dennis Schröder, también conocido como «Baby Rondo» por la comparativa con Rajon Rondo (el hasta hace poco base de los Boston Celtics, ahora de los Dallas Mavericks), es uno de los jugadores del momento en la NBA. Todos los fans del baloncesto sabrán que actualmente juega en los Atlanta Hawks, que lleva el número 17 y que es uno de los mejores bases de la liga, pero hay algo que no se sabe… Dennis Schröder tiene un pasado como skater, y sus familiares aseguran que juega tan bien al basket gracias al patín: «Mi familia cree que me ayudó en el juego de pies y en el balance pero no sé, ¡yo lo hacía por diversión!», afirmó en una entrevista con Grantland.
Schröder comentó en esta misma entrevista que su hermano estuvo a punto de hacerse pro, y que a él le habían dicho que lo hacía muy bien también. Aún quedan un par de vídeos suyos por la red, y quizá nos da la sensación de que no estaba tan cerca de ser profesional, pero de todos modos el chaval lo hacía muy bien, y por un motivo u otro ha llegado a la NBA. Además, sigue patinando, y aunque no se la juegue tirándose al barro reconoce que sigue yendo de un lado a otro con el patín.

I don’t know. It’s just fun!», declared in an interview with Grantland.
Schröder commented in this interview that his brother was about to be a pro skater, and some people told him he was good too. We still have a couple of videos from that time, and they may make you think he wasn’t that close to become a pro, but anyway this kid ripped it, and for some reason he’s in the NBA. Moreover, he keeps skating, and although he’s not doing gnarly things he cruises around with his board.
